Indonesia Eclipse 2019
Annular Solar Eclipse
26 December 2019
An annular eclipse will cover 97% of the Sun along the path of annularity that starts in Saudi Arabia, and moves across Qatar, the UAE and Oman before crossing the Arabian Sea. It than makes landfall again in southern India and Sri Lanka, and further on to Indonesia, Malaysia, and the tiny island of Guam before ending in the North Pacific Ocean.
Observers in this path of up to 118 km wide will see the rare ‘ring of fire’, lasting 3 minutes and 40 seconds at the point of maximum eclipse.
