The Independent Traveller is very excited to be attending this year’s Solarsphere festival which will be happening on the 14 – 16 August 2015. Solarsphere is a brand new event combining the science of Astronomy with a back drop of a music festival.
The event will be providing the opportunity for beginners and the more experienced amateur astronomers to learn about a variety of space related topics at the astrocamp which consists of a dark site in a spectacular location in Mid Wales. There will be talks and workshops available, to include solar observing and photography, night sky observing, astrophotography and moon landing debates - to name a few. In addition, there will be a music festival running alongside this for those who wish to discover some wonderful new bands.
Penmaenau Farm is located next door to The Royal Welsh Show Ground and offers beautiful dark skies. With solar observing sessions, a cosmos planetarium and fusion art classes – this event is a great mixture of education, expert knowledge and creative arts.
The Independent Traveller is very excited to be attending this event, offering information on future eclipses and astronomy travel opportunities to beautiful destinations such as South Africa, India and Chile. We will be there all weekend, and will welcome an opportunity to meet you. So please come over and introduce yourself – We’re incredibly friendly and super passionate about astronomy travel!
